  • Does anybody have this prob w/ Factory alarm??

i really need some help with my factory alarm. I posted couple days ago about making my alarm more sensitive. When i started messing with the sensitivity there was no change, it was moving all ways for like 30 mins, not once did i get my alarm to sound. I was now thinkin that my alarm wasnt working right. My extended warranty covers the alarm system, so i took it to chevy and they said nothin was wrong with it. I still have doubts, the light on the sensor in the truck hardly ever stays on and when it is, the light is really dim. I tapped it, then the light shows again. I then locked my self into the car and opened the door, the alarm started sounding like 10-15 secs after. I think my sensor is not workin right, it is me or am i wrong? If im right, then men im goin to be pissed at chevy.

I was told, after posting in your last comment, that the stock alarms on our cars are not touch sensitive, like I'm assuming you want them to be, but are more "impact" sensitive.

I want it to go off when people touch it, cuz it pisses me off when people touch my car, but...it turns out that they only go off at impact, although, you really have to hit it...
