I don't want subs and all that stuff with all that bass, I just want my music to sound good and have a lil bass. Some of the comp. systems are expensive and I'm not looking to spend a lot on it, but enough for it to sound good. Or would it be better to just get like 1 12" or like 2 10's? My one friend said he would sell me his JL Audio component system, all I know is that it's JL and he had it in his camaro. I think he said like 100 or 150, but I can't remember.
Thanks guys
I'm not too good with stereo stuff, but;
I have Infinity Kappa 6 1/2" components on all 4 corners, and a 10" stealthbox in the back. I too didn't want alot os bass, just a nice sound. I got what I wanted with the components.
All in all, I have a crap-load of speakers in my car, but I was going for more of a "surround sound" rather than noticeability.
For the best sound quality, get yourself a nice set of components for the doors. This is where you're gonna get most of your sound from. Then you can add some cheaper full range speakers (2 way, 3way, etc.) in the sail panels for some rear fill. Here's my setup, not including subs:
RF 6.5" Fanatic Q components = $220 shipped
Alpine Type S 2-ways = $60 to $75 shipped
RF 301X 4 channel amp = about $150 shipped
I would say it's a nice sounding setup, especially for the price...about $450 total.
I just ordered a new pair of RF HX2 10's and a RF 801s amp to power them, so things should be getting a little louder soon

if you want the best system for the money get some cdt cl components from http://www.thezeb.com/detail.aspx?ID=1083 for $150, get an alpine cda-7863 HU for about $100 from ebay, and an Xtant 2200ix from ebay for about $200 to run the components, then if you want some fill for the rear use the HU to run some cdt coaxial speakers that you can get from http://www.thezeb.com/detail.aspx?ID=1087 for like $50. this comes out to about $500 and you will have one of the best sounding systems out their. after that if you want to add more bass get a 10" infinity kappa (not a bad sub for the money) or a 10" elemental design sub (very good subs) and a 300W amp that is from a reputable company like JL, Xtant, Pheonix Gold, etc.

The Infinity's came with sub, tweeter and croosover for $90 per pair. The amp I have is a sony 300w 4channel that powers the speakers. I ran the rest of the speakers to the standard radio output, and amp'd the components. It's good enough for me!
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
