  • How to eliminate distorted bass?

My set-up is in my sig. I am starting to get pretty distorted when my bass is hitting harder. Is there anyway I can stop this?

Cut the bass through your components.

I have an Alpine 11-band EQ that does that for me.

Just roll off the bass at your crossover point for the subs....and the sub will get the same signal, since the crossover channel is PRE-EQ on my EQ.

The difference is that your components won't be distorting because of the high levels.
