Check out our FAQ page for some great info. And here's a link to Subthump's page. The t-top box and the Milhouse will both work. Again, for both SPL and SQ, it's all about the box. We don't know anything about your friend's box. But if it isin't the correct size, flexes or leaks air....and yours is properly built... you can out score him with smaller subs. Also, ported vs sealed? All variables optimum, ported will always be louder. I strongly suggest reading the FAQ page in full.

thanx alot guys! i like that milhouse box but to get that setup it will cost a little to much for now. i think ill stick with the setup i said and maybe upgrade to the millhouse later.

my buddy's box isnt fitted for his car.(hes got a 94 camaro) its sealed and has about 1.5 cubic ft for each sub. im pretty sure it made out of partical board. it came with the subs.

CDT! they are the best for sound clarity. as for the big deal with components, with this type of speaker systemt the tweeter and midrange driver are totally seperat from each other. what this does is allow all frequencies to be more accurately reproduced. i wouldn't put anything up front unless it was a component system.
