Whats happen Team V6ers!!

Its been awhile since I've been online but I'm still rocking things here. Looking to spruce up my stereo. I've decided to drop some money and get a indash dvd, cdr, mp3, ect player.

I was looking a lot of different ones I really dont' feel like dropping a grand on a unit.

I came across this one
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-uuI4fUB...50&I=110VM9510

But its a Jensen and I hear that they are not the best qualitiy. However its a sweet setup... has everything and a nice display! Even has a built in tv tuner w/antenna which nobody else seemed to do. (unless you buy it in addition).

So I'm trying to search around and find a good brand for a good price...

I was also looking at this one
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wEc0hsH...0&I=130AVHP570

but even though the name brand is better I don't know if the value is.

I dont' know much about stereos so help me out guys

Well.... first lemme ask you.... are you sure you want to be able to play DVDs? Looks awesome and adds a real WOW factor to your setup. BUT most indash DVD players offer very little in the way of sound shaping and cost nearly TWICE as much as units with limitless features. That being said... I have one in my car now. The choice is yours.

Jenson has always been thought to be low end. And much more so when you're comparing a Jenson DVD player to Pioneer. But remember both units have a 1 year warranty when bought from an authorized dealer. (such as crutchfield) If the Jenson craps out on you, it's covered.

Personally i would spend the extra money and get the pioneer 5700... the jensen isnt the best, and i wouldnt recomend it.

look around for someplace other than crutchfield for electronics. they are bar none the most expensive place to buy car stereo electronics.

and if your willing to pay 1000 to crutchfield for the cheapest in dash dvd that pioneer makes, consider this.

Jensen sucks thats all i have to say about them. The Pioneer unit doesnt look to bad for what it is but as firebird311 said it probably wont offer the best features for the audio side of things.

Personally I wont go near a Jensen, the Pioneer isn't a bad unit. Personally I would look at Eclipse , Clarion, or Alpine, but you would be starting at $1500 and going up to $3000+ very quickly.

Depends on where you want to go with it. What are you looking to end at?

But 96firebird311 is dead right in the amount of control inside of 90% of indash units, heck most of them don't even have good outputs...
