  • Kicker L5/L7 box fitment?

This is the box I am talking about -

My old dual 12 box fit perfectly into the well and almost looked like it was made to go there. But this box is a little bigger. My hatch won't close if I try to put it where I had my old one. Has anyone had any luck getting one of these to fit in the well nicely? Is there something I can do to free up some space?

I would guess your old dual 12" produced more bass than 98% of cars, so why change...if it fit and it worked...why fix it?

He had CompVRs. 2 CompVRs probably don't even compare to one L5, let alone an L7. You could try using your old box, and cutting out square holes to replace the circle ones. If you only have one sub, like shown above, I'm not sure if I can help you much. You could try taking off the plastic(?) thats on the interior of the hatch. I haven't seen the inside of my bird in a while, so I may be confused...

Heh, I didnt even have VR's. Just plain ole Comps. Yeah, imagine the difference.

Yes I just have one L5 so I guess i'll just start looking around on ways of making it fit. I currently have my back seats folded down and its sitting on the back of the seats (Its flat)

I guess I could leave it there but 1. it looks tacky and 2. I just might need my back seat one day.

          Meh...

@PalmHarbor- I didnt upgrade b/c I wanted more bass than other cars. I upgraded b/c I wanted more bass than what I had.
