I was looking at the pictures of the millhouse box, and it doesn't look that hard to construct. Anyone ever made there own box, for this type of application. I'm gonna get started on it as soon as possible and then i'll share the wealth with all of y'all!
it's not really cool to cut into someone's business like that, not to mention Steve, who has done wounders with camaro/firebird audio. he sells the plans for a cheap price, so there is no R&D by you, maybe you should look into that, as it's not as easy as it looks.

I'm interested in seeing what you come up with. They may look simple, but there's more to fit and function than you realize with this box. So please do not call your creation a milhouse box. That name is already taken.
to actually figure it all out with correct dimensions it'd cost you far more in money and time more than what he charges. his prices are really freggin cheap as it is, just buy one already

v6maro: He doesn't sell the plans, I already emailed and asked him.
And I'm not cutting in to anyone's business. I don't think the box will be that hard to make, and if I do make it then who cares, the millhouse box will still be available for whoever wants it. I would buy it but I live in Canada, so by the time I got it, it would be like $400 bucks.
Sorry megabass, I ain't trying to ruin your business, you know....
Just remember, it's a free world, you can do whatever you want to!
I've shipped to canada before. If it ships usps, then you don't pay any duty. Probably 10-15 extra would get it to ya anyhow. Price is just an excuse, I can tell. But it doesn't bother me really. My boxes are engineered, not just put together. I have a machine shop that puts the flap on a computerized router to cut the arcs and other cuts to precision. Using a jigsaw like your gonna do will look cheesy. I also have brackets custom made for the pivot hardware I use. That will be the most challengeing part. Getting something that will hold up and work properly. Good luck though in your endeavor.

Well, at first I was pissed. But the more I got to thinking about all the stuff I went thru to get to where I am on that box now, it's laughable for someone to think they can do it any better. In other words, I'm so far ahead that it would be insane for him to try this. But to each his own I guess
that looks sweet- how much will the rack cost me? any t top problems? ill probably do it this spring, because i just smashed the car up against a guardrail and its gettin rebuilt, leavin me with no money.
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
