Short? Call stalls help please???

Ok so last night, I start my car , and as soon as I turn on my headlights, the car shuts off...
I dont have time and we take a friends car...
This morning i get up early b4 work and start looking at my car...
my car turns on, but if i use ANYTHING that draws current.... all the gauges on my dash jump around... horn, brake lights, windows all made it do it when I used them...
Now the car wont do anything

It did storm last night but I couldnt think of anything that coulda got wet that woulda done this....
Im thinkin maybe battery is bad, it does have a 3 yr warranty at wallmart but I gotta snag a ride up there by someone... and now I have to call into work... which I havnt ever done since I have worked there 4 months..

Check the wires and connections on the battery for corrision.

Just take the battery to wal mart if it checks out good then its the alt.

BTW wal mart batteries have an awfully low CCA rating.

but if its not letting the car even start, it cant be the alt..... bahhhh cars can be so confusing like women sometimes

well, I took the battery to wallmart, it tested good ..... But I just knew it was the battery.... I told them to screw off and bought a new one at sears... Die hard gold.... car started perfectly
