remote start/keyless entry

Does an aftermarket one need to be reprogrammed, like the factory ones? I've been having trouble with mine, and all the wires seem to be fine, so I really don't know what else to try now.

I replaced the one in the remote before anything, but I wasn't aware there was one for the actual unit itself?

no there isnt, I did'nt know you replaced it already...but in that case some rf remotes have rolling code which means the code changes each time you push the button...so ya you would have to reprogram the remote..there should be a learn button on the main unit...check to see ;)
