if you are putting in a seperate amp to power the components just go ahead and rewire them. It will actually be easier and you can use better wire than the thin crappy oem speaker wire. sorry if i offended viper but honestly if you are into SQ you should have heard of CDT they are the gods of SQ and you can get their entry level (which i feel is better than the perfects) for $150 from thezeb. check them out you might be as impressed as i was. But yeah the ES series is the kick *** of the kick *** components and yeah for you the yellow and black only makes it that much better.

I have had both CDT's and Kappa's and there is no comparison between the two, the CDT's blow them out of the water.
umm but dot they play under water? i know infinty's do.... i tired it lol.. ;)

I'm not saying infinty are the best speakers out there but for what they cost and how they sound you can't go wrong..... i have never even heard of the other brand before (don'tforget i have been in europe the past 2 years, im kinda out of the loop alittle)

whats the major diff, i always like 8 because you can turn the deck up and they dont distort at all they play loud and clear...... and i put 1000W on a 6X9 and it was smoking and still worked fine after that lol

haha, i dont know about the underwater thing but im not gonna ever try that with a CDT, i cant beleive you did that with the infinity haha, that and the smoking 6x9 is funny as hell. i really think the cdt cl's are the best you can get for the money though (for 150 they really are a great deal). if you are happy with your infinity's good. im glad you can get away with spending less money... at least on your audio system, we wont even go under your hood.

mmm k question

http://www.edesignaudio.com/miva/mer...egory_Code=COM

^that is one set of componets with the amp correct? so its like this one

http://www.thezeb.com/p-CDT-Audio-CL...tem-101083.htm
without the amp? so the amp is like $300?

damn I was only looking to put at max $1200 into this. got any ideas on how to cut the price?

i thought you had subs already? if not check out the ED full system deal. it comes with two amps (one mono for two subs, and one 2ch for the components), 2 k-type subs, and a set of components for like 850. then get an eclipse HU for 300 and still come in under your limit. are you planning on doing the rear speakers as well? you really dont have to... or really want to for that matter if you want the best SQ system. You can set up your soundstage much better with just the front components. if you want rear fill get a pair of cdt full ranges for like 50 bucks and run them off the HU, for the time being. you can upgrade later if you arent satisfied and run just the fronts till you can afford another amp. 1200 dollars is just about right for a system like this. if you dont need subs and sub amp or an hu or an extra amp then i dont see how you could come close to 1200.

btw,
the ed components alone are 250
the amp is 215
