  • Fuse boxes relocation?

is there any negetives to moving the fuse boxes that are under the hood in the corner on the driverside to the trunk along with my batt? other than it being a pita to do would there be any other problems? What all would be involved in this? i am wanting more room under the hood for a twin turbo setup (one will be where the batt is and one where the fuse boxes are).

some one relocated the battery to the back and there car had a hard time starting. you also would most like have to use a big guage wire like 0. as for the fuse boxes, im not sure. but i think stefan moved his so he could use a 95-97 intake. search for it.

Yeah i know i need big azz wire for this (i will probably just buy a kit for the batt). i didnt find anything when i first searched for the fuse boxes... ill try different words to see if i can come up with anything. thanks.

No luck, i think he just slid his over a little to make minimal room for his intake (not near enough for a turbo). So i still need some info if anyone else feels like chiming in.

maybe one of those holley annihilator race cell battery's would be better for a relocation. im not sure though. year one sells a 630 cold cranking amp battery for $257

yeah i was thinking about an optima (i want a sealed batt). No fumes for me.

i think im just gonna be on my own for this one :( . i wont start till this weekend. i was going to get my exhaust done but my stuff still hasnt arived  oh well it will eventually get here (i have faith). If the reloction goes well i will do a right up for it.

As far as I can see, moving the fusebox should just be a matter of simply extending all the wires that run to and from it. Just a time consuming process is all.

i think i will have to totally replace the wires with larger ones so i dont up the resistance too much but yeah i think it will just be very time consuming and actually pretty expensive.
