ive been posting alot of messages about using a jl 10w3, 250\1 amp and stealth box. well i added it all up and its pretty expensive. so my buddy got a new amp for his 2 12 audiobahns. it hits hard. i like it alot. so i was lookin at the t-top box but i cant afford to use jl stuff with a setup like that. so i went looking on ebay i found 2 12 AW1206T audiobahns chrome flames 4400 wats max for $250. and for an amp maybe a Audiobahn A8002T Intake 2CH 800W Chrome Amp it puts out 200w x2@4ohms. do you guys think this is a good set up. are audiobahn amps any good? i know a setup like this will be a little weighty though.

what are you wanting sound quality or quantity? elemental design makes some nice subs and some kick butt amps. My neighbor has the mono amp on his 3 infinity subs and it pushes them with no problem and is very clean. If you ever want to upgrade to better speakers they are pretty good at that as well. www.edesignaudio.com .

check out the combo deals here http://www.edesignaudio.com/combo.htm they have one for the mono amp and 2 13kv.2 12" subs (very nice) for less than 500.

(i need to get on their payrole as much as i recomend them)

np, also if you want to save a little space you might want to look into illusion audio. I havent personally heard them but from what i have read they are a great sq company but are a little lacking in the spl realm. They look like they would really kick butt for space saving subs due to how they designed the motor system for their speakers actually inside the cone, take a look. http://www.illusionaudio.com/indexx.html

          Not quite.

The Illusion 10" subs require 0.8 ft^3 of sealed airspace wheras the ED 10" subs require only 0.6 ft^3. The same goes for the 12's - 1.2 ft^3 vs 1.1 ft^3. From a space saving standpoint, he'd be better off with the ED and a smaller enclosure. Plus he doesn't run the risk of damaging the exposed motor.

Oh and guess what the volume is on the 10" stealth box? Yup - 0.6 ft^3. That's only one of many reasons that ED subs are recommended so highly here.

Might I also suggest you take a look here...www.incriminatoraudio.com

Look specifically at the 187's and Lethal Injections. They are great subwoofers and I personally know the owner. They also took 1st place this year at the world finals in the Extreme 3-4 division with 8 Crossfire VR4000D's and 4 15" Incriminator Audio Death Penalty's with 175 Db's even beating out the highest ranking competitor in the Extreme 5+ division by 2 Db's. Incriminator Audio is a great company. I personally own 1 12" Death Penalty and only have a Hifonics BX1000D on it which is way under what this sub really needs to perform at its best and it still gets extremely loud.

Also when you go to his website dont look at the MSRP thats just as it says MSRP, not what he actually charges for the subs. I got my 12" DP for 325 bux.

If you want it to hit loud then you will have to loose some space for more/bigger subs.

If you want higher spl #s look into porting the box.

What kind of Pioneers do you have articacid? I have 4 Pioneer 6.5" TS-A1680R speakers and I like them ok. They're pretty clear and loud, even with stock HU and no amp.

i would think the amount of volume you would have to compensate for would be so much less with the illusions that the actual dimensions of the box would be the same as the ED's, but because of its slim mounting depth it allows for some very interesting box designs with the illusions. a grill is deffinately a requirement with them you are right. i personally like ED better because they do seem more durable, i have heard almost all their products (and have been thouroughly impressed), and they have great bang for the buck value. Do some research on all the brands mentioned before you buy anything and if you can listen to it. The best way to know if it is right for you is to hear it in a car.

i have pioneer TS-G670M in back and TS-G650M's in front. there pretty good. for the price i am happy. they do sound very good with the stock h/u. there wasnt much of a difference with them once i got my hea unit. the only big difference was there was more eq adjustability. so i could squeeze a little more bass and mids out of them. i payed like 150 for front and back at walmart.

                    what are spl's?
