  • short in head unit harness?

ok guys, im my 98 the original head unit would shut off completely at random times. like someone dicsonnected the power to it. i installed a new panasonic head unit and it still does it. if you hit the dash around the top left corner of the air bag it will come back on most of the time. i followed the power and there were no problems in the wire. anyone had this problem? anyone kow how to fix?
    thanx

check to see if the cables going into the radio are secure and if u cant find any problems take it to a radio shop (not radio shack) and theyll see whats up with it.

i would guess the wiring harness isnt getting a good connection, look and see if you got any dust of dirt in it. its deffinately a connection problem though. if you dont get anyone else to give any suggestions go to a reputable audio shop and they should be able to help you, hell a dealership may even know whats wrong.
