    this was one reply

I'm still trying to eliminate my exhaust/road noise, and i came across this guide on a c5 corvette forum.

Their problem was more tire noise, but said it eliminated exhaust also.

So has anyone here tried it, or heard of it?

Since it's cheap like peel n seal, and sold at lowes, i'm going to try it out.

well over my months or searching and debating which to order "sound deadner" i never came across a "frost king" reply. . . and i didn't figure to use the search engine till after i posted this *my fault*, i found some info, sorry. just a shame that it wasn't included in the other thousand topics on comparing dynomat/brownbead/peelnseal/edead/etc. . sorry for post.

This seems like a good idea... i wonder how well it holds up?
Do you put this stuff under the car or use it inside the car, under the carpet?..

If you can't find info about it you might want to try to get a small amount and see how it works and if it smells lol sounds funny but it is a serious problem with some..

And yes a good sound dampener will decrease the amount of road noise from anything outside or under your vehicle in most cases by quite a bit. The sound causes vibrations which create the sound, the deadening material abosorbs the vibration and turns it into a low level heat and then of course radiates that off.

i baught a roll for my camaro, its $15 or so a roll and theres not that much in the roll.

I guess you would need $200 or so to do the whole car. I would just stick with peel and seal or somethin.

If thats the way it was, it would block some outside noise but at that cost if you arn't worried about weight I would go with an asphalt based like, dynatmat, tsunami, fatmat ect..
