  • 2 quick questions..

    1. I posted not too long ago with problems concerning my amp/sub setup. I was curious where I could find the fuse that's actually in the amp? The fuse by the battery is fine, I was told to check the amp fuse to make sure. Would I hear any noise if that fuse was blown? Because I still do... but it's reallllly low, and any amount of bass farts. I took the sub out and put in a 6x9 that I know works and it did the same thing.

    2. Also I bought a 10 inch box from subthump and it's mounted in that ilttle cranny on the driver's side. I would like to mount my amp right underneath where the trunk locks. So it's hanging vertically, how do I go about doing that? Put holes in the carpet and let it hang from there? Any ideas?

I had the same problem, it weas caused by the factory amp that is located behind the radio. When i bought my car they had the factory BOSE and changed it to a Pioneer, when doin this, they some how broke the lil black plastic amp thing. one side of it move up and it casues it to quit working sometimes when im driving down the road, but i think ur problem might be on that lil amp there are peices you can turn to adjust the + or-. turn your car off turn the ground one and maybe a few others all the way up and see if it helps, if not turn them all the way down. I hopethis helps!!

if the amp fuse was blown, you would get no noise at all. i would bet money, and a good amount, that your amp is shot.

but the two things to check when the amp level is low and bassy:
      1) check the LPF/HPF switch, and put it on FULL
      2) turn all the gain knobs up

Definately get yourself an amp rack. You can build one yourself pretty easily. That will give a good solid flat surface to mount your amp to. Plus, you can hide all the wiring behind it. I've been selling tons those racks lately for users just like yourself. My version looks like this. Very similar to the white rascal's actually. I have two kinds, but only install pics of the standard kind.
