Iam having so many problems its not even funny! I have 2 12" fosgate p1's, punch p2002 amp. I bought the rca line convertor since I dont have pre amps on the back of the stock monsoon radio. I know I have to cut into the speaker wires in the back of the radio to install it, so I look at the colors of my rear speaker wires, go behind the radio and those colors are not there. Than I pull out the sail panel speakers, look at those colors, and they dont match any on the harness! I than decided to hook the rca convertor in the trunk area directly to the two 4" speakers in the back. Now when I put the balance ( on the radio ) to the center I have no bass, but when I move it to the left or right, I get some but it sounds like crap. I have the amp bridges for both subs and have the subs running in parralell, please help, about to give up.

      Left rear - = yellow
      Left rear + = Brown
Right rear - = light blue
Right rear + = Dark blue
You might want to double check this i am reading it out of the 2001 camaros Service manual.

If you wire it like i have it you will wwant to take the black cover off as far as you can and c if the wires will twist 2 together thies ones are the postamp ones and you will not want to tap into them. make sure its not twisted to another wire becouse thier 2-4 wires the same color.

I suggest you open your wallet and have it done professionally, if you blow something out then the money U save by doing it yourself will be gone.
That's why professionals do this....its complicated.

its not complicated. it's really quite simple.
The problem is monsoon sucks, Period.
If it were a normal radio a 4 yr old retard could do it in his sleep.

Either way u look at it, if u get it to work it's still going to sound poor becuz ur getting your signal thru speakers and not thru a sub out.

Im a certified installer and i hate working with monsoon systems.

Ohhh I soo am with you there! Bose is even WORSE! Running little 24Ga signal wires all over to the 6 individual fricken amps!!!!!!

He also makes a good point, no matter what you do you wont really get good quality sound out of a speaker wire, you really need a headunit and use a preamp output, another world of differnce is a line driver *if your output voltage is weak* and/or seperate sub crossover. But if you want to keep factory best you can do, is get a good clean amp that is over powered and spend some time tuning.

Ever done a mitsu montero? the amp is in the back driverside behind the interior panel, tap into the signal wires from there... i hate monsoon, bose, infinity rewires.
                      drives me nuts!

I know you dont want to hear this but if u want a good sounding system you need to lose the monsoon, rewire, and get a Headunit, New componenets and a sub.
