• Best amp for JL W7 13"

Yeah.
I am looking into getting the W713
I Found out today I have the bottom-of-the-line JLs so I can't have that :D
I am not looking to spend A LOT on the amp cause the speaker will be enough as it is lol.
Their chart says about 1000RMS watts, so what is good in that range?
The JL amp is like $750 so I don't want to get that lol.

any amp that will put out 1000RMS is gonna be expensive.

ive had real good results with Rockford amps. they sound good, and are resonablely priced. you may want to look into them.

At 45% THD
Just kidding man. It is a bit noisey, but still a very good buy IMO.

JBL BP1200.1 1200WRMS@1 or 2 ohms. $250-260 Ebay

yea, you gotta look at the THD level. look at like a Sony Xplod amp. they are like 1200W max, 300rms, with 10%thd.

amp warms up, signal distorts, sound suffers.

if you can get that JL for $300 or so, do that.

And on another note, I can't say I'd recommend the D2. I have heard COUNTLESS complaints about reliability. They were used widely in comps a couple years back, but I don't think reliability (or THD for that matter) is your biggest worry in an SPL comp. For daily use I's have to give it a . Sorry Big Tymer. :(
