I am a firm believer that caps are a very bad idea. Your car only has so much power and a cap just stores a small amount and draws a lot of current. It would be a better idea ( and safer! ) to get a bigger alternator put in.

Well, this is a very debated subject. Everyone will tell you something different, and most of those people don't know what they're talking about. A cap can be useful, and a cap can hurt. I really don't think you'll need one with that much power. 430RMS will only ever really draw about 30amps max from your alternator if I am correct. I think 80amps is the smallest alternator a V6 4th gen ever got. I highly doubt with everything else running on your car you'll ever overdraw the alternator. Unless you sit idle for a long time. Since you're not overdrawing your alternator, a cap will NOT hurt your system. BUT, it might not help either.
