box is a vented design about 4.5 cubes of air in there. The vent is 4''x8'' and it goes 14'' down into the box.

As for legal or outlaw? i dont know what kind it was i, wasnt competing or anything i was just getting the car metered. I also wouldnt be able to tell you the brand of mic they used.

What is the tuning frequency? I was thinking 51hz is a little high for our cars. I can't remember for sure, but I thought around 45hz was where they peaked. But honestly, I think a pair of ported 10s should be louder than that. I know guys with single 12s in sealed stealthboxes that are hitting more than that. In fact I have a guy with a 10W7 in a .7 cu.ft passenger stealth hitting low 140's. But there are so many variables in your case. Like the type of mic of course and where it was placed and what the weather was like, etc, etc. That's a new amp too isn't it? How does it compare to your JBL amp?

my jbl amp was crap, it wasnt stable at 1ohm for some reason, and its in my closet collecting dust.

where was the mic? professional measurment for compititions is on the drivers seat, if they havent changed it. but i know you can pick up like 5dB if you put the mic on the dashboard.

and as far as the frequency, it varies by sub. some subs hit harder on lower frequencys, and some hit harder on higher ones.

            either way, good numbers!

Thats really good! I hit 145.2 at the kick panel in outlaw (doors open) with a sine sweep. Dunno what freq was the sweet spot though. Box is a prefab probox w/ 2 audiobahn aw1200q 12's and audiobahn 1300hct 1200 watt amp. Wired to 1 ohm. And a cap. My installer says i would hit better #'s if i had a deck with a subout. Hey, if im broke, i cant fix it right?
