getting new stereo

i want to change my factory stereo for a new one. I am planning to get a CD player for about $300. Do any of you guys know from experience which is the best one i can get, as far as soun quality, color and graphics. LIke the equalizer graphics when the song plays. Thanks for the info

if you are going to replace the headunit, you might as well replace the entire thing. as far as a new headunit goes, kenwood's have nice features and nice displays. also, eclipse are very good if you are ever going to upgrade the rest in the future.

I say Kenwood. I have the KDC-9017 from last year and I love it! It has the dolphins and Indy Race cars with all kinds of features. Kenwood has great CD players with lots of vivid colors and graphics. My second choice would be JVC... Check 'em out for yourself... [img]smile.gif[/img]

thanks for the info. So u guys recommend for me to get new speakers too right?? speakers are not so expensive, they are like 80$ for two. I am gonna check kenwood and JVC out now.

Pioneer also has the same type of organic dot-matrix display. (Dolphins, Pyramids etc.) On the newer ones (9300 series I belive) you can upload your own pictures and screen savers on it and have what ever you want!
