JL all the way! I've heard both and love the JL. The bass is a lot cleaner, although I think that he Kicker picks up some deeper bass over the JL. And I believe that Kicker is a lil more epxensive than JL, but not a whole lot. Both of these companies are very reputable and its hard to compare unless your comparing models...however I would have to go with the W7 over the L7.
