Well after doing research and asking many people I have come to the conclusion that JL Audio and Kicker make the best subs. I want your opinion on what brand is better. I have heard both subs and have to say that I like JL Audio. They are very clean sounding and look good too. Well what do you guys think? If you think another brand is better let us know.

if i were to go between the Kicker SoloBaric L7 or the JL W7, id take the JL.
been around longer, and better made IMO. -

The L7 came out WAYY before the W7.
And I wouldn't be able to narrow down two best companies. Each company has their strong points. Some are strong in quality...some are strong in quanity.... and some are just strong on your wallet... [img]smile.gif[/img] For what purpose are you using this subwoofer? The W7 is much more expensive then the L7, but pretty much outpreforms it in every way. The L7 MIGHT have a slight edge in all out SPL, but it's not worth it IMO.Comment

yea, i dont know why i wrote that. the L7 came out before the W7.
but id go with the w7. the L7 would produce a little higher SPL due to the extra surface area, but thats only if they were powered the same. the w7 could be powered more, and make up for it.
also, jl is just a sick company. very good stuff.Comment

I would have to put the Image Dynamics IDMAX above those. I've heard my share of sub including the W7 and L7, and the IDMAX probably has the best SQ. You should really be more specific though and tell us if you want the best SPL sub, SQ sub, or overall sub.
