  • rear view mirror help!

ok, pounding the bass away on this nice warm day in MI, and all of a sudden, the rear view mirror shakes off!!!! I was like WTF?!?! then i smiled cause of how much bass i needed to actually rattle it off hehehe. Anyhoo, does anyone have a pic of thier reear view mirror connected to the glass? Is it supposed to be flush? is there a certain way to install it?
    thanks

Once this happens it's doomed to happen again. I pray it never happens to me. Wal-Mart sells some cheap @ss mirror glue, you could use that. You might want to go more industrial though for some higher quality stuff and maybe prevent it from happening again. There should be a blackout on the windshield showing you where it's supposed to go, and from there just match up the shape. If you don't have the blackout look as close as you can and try to see where it was before and maybe outline it outside with a dry erase marker. Since mines never come off I don't know if they are the same as in a Taurus, which fell of constantly, but in the Taurus there is a small metal tab at the base of the pod. This peice comes out. You'll want to just glue that piece only first and let it cure for a long time since it's better to have the smallest amount of weight possible on it while it's curing. Another thing I just thought of is maybe to get some duct tape and use that to hold it on to the glass better while it cures. Be careful when taking it off though.
