• Which box do you like best? Also what size speaker?

I am debating which box to buy for my 98 Firebird.

Which of these 2 do you like best?
    http://www.subthump.com/acamarostealth.htm --(I would buy a passenger and a driver's side both 10 inch)

    OR

http://www.subthump.com/acamaromilhouse.htm I really like this one (firechicken) and would probably go for a single 12. Do you think a single 12 is good or should I get dual 10s?

My windows arent tinted and probably wont ever be and I wanted something that wasnt visible from the outside... so i narrowed it down to these 2. Tell me what you think.

I dont know which amp i am getting next. if I do decide on the 2 10s I have 2 rockford fosgates in my other car as well as a 600 watt kenwood amp. I think I am going to buy all new equipment though...

I think the milhouse is probably the way to, they look great, and nobody can see that you have subs in there.

I ordered the milhouse for 2 10" subs, Steve from Subthump is very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. But those sons a biatches from UPS are about as good as tits on a bull, they seemd to have lsot my box :(

I vote for the dual stealth boxes. Think about it. Every time you want to get into your storage area you'd have to flip up the whole sub box. Yeah, not that big of a deal. But if you had the stealth's you would never even touch them. It's as if they're not even there! Know what I mean? Also, remember that the driver and passenger stealth have a slightly different volume. I'd add a small block of wood to the passenger side to even out the volumes.

Hmmmm now i really dont know what to pick for a box. I am guessing I should go for dual 10s?

I like the way a stealthbox looks... but i like that milhouse box too. I see what you mean about flipping it up all of the time when the steathbox is out of your way already.

dont you have to get rid of your spare tire and stuff for one stealth box, that may be great for some people, but even though I have never gotten a flat, I am not about to have my first with no spare tire

I've got a single 12 milhouse on the way right now.

Gonna put an ED12O in it on about 500W RMS.

I considered getting dual 10's but a good quality 12 can give you about the same sound output and play lower for a lower cost than 2 similar 10's.

I also considered the dual stealths but I wouldn't feel right riding around without a spare tire even though I've never had a flat.

And I agree with Ryan W. Steve is awesome especially when it comes to customer service. I shot some e-mails back and forth with him Monday and it was very quick communication.

Personally, I prefer dual 10's. The millhouse would save on the un-equal box volume between stealthboxes, even though the idea of putting a block of wood in. Two 10's are just about the most acoustically correct you can get and still get the low end. If the music is sloppy, whats the point of dropping a lot of money on a good system anyway?

I'd go with the dual 10 milhouse. Not only is it loud, but you don't have to sacrafice your spare tire and it's just as stealthy. Plus you get the added 'wow' factor with the custom logo. JMO :D

96firebird311, my personal preferences are 10's. At least to my ears, alot of 12's sometimes cannot keep up with quick bass hits, or hold the bass note too long. Usually takes me a few days to notice it because its very small, but once I notice it, it drives me insane. It isnt very much at all mind you. I dont like super loud bass, maybe thats why the systems in my cars are usually a daul sealed 10 setup.

hey guys thanks for the replies. I am going with the Milhouse box... and to make it a little more *pretty* i want to paint the firechicken. I understand its vinyl so is there a way to do this without it peeling off???

I am not getting the box right now cause of the crappy weather i dont want to freeze while doing this just yet. LOL

I am going to do dual 10s. Probably get some kind of Kicker speaker too cause I like kicker and I have kicker speakers in the rear already. pretty nice sound.

i like duel 10's over 12's because with mostly rap the 12 will be better most of the time, you'll be enjoying it, but when u go to put rock or anything else in a week later it seems to mess up my sound balance. i dont like a ghetto system with just some unbalanced sub and no fronts, i like a balance. and you can get it with 12's but i like the 10's better. depends what u listen to i think.
