actually, can I make a suggestion before I get too custom? what if you were to move the speaker terminals to either side of the box. It would allow you to mount the amp (size permitting) directly to the underside of the box. Or does the underside also provide support by resting on the ledge of the storage well? Granted, it's not the greatest solution, and you'd need to make sure your amp wiring could support the flip up capability, but it's a thought. Gonna check out my space options, and come up w/ some ideas.

Sorry, can't do that. Since that box, I have moved the edge of the box further from the bottom of the flap so it doesn't rub. There is no room in there for an amp. You can see that spl170 terms rub--judging from the indentations. It would also be hard to put the terms on the ends because of the way it flips over and you would need speaker wirin on each side of the car. That's the best place for the term (where it is shown).

kewl. I'm still gonna get the box, just gotta get the scratch. Have the 2 10's, and an amp just waiting for something to go into.

Megabass, can you make that milhouse box to fit Kicker L7's? Ideally I'd like to have 2 12" L7's and still have t-top storage, but 2 10" L7's would do.

So are duals possible with the L7's? I know you said that you could fit up to 2 12" round subs in there... Also, when the box is in the trunk well, is there a problem at all with rattling since that whole heavy box is resting on those two pieces of thin plastic?
(Sorry I'm asking so many questions, if I decide to get that box I want to make sure I know what I'm getting. Great design by the way!)

I've not done dual 12s yet, so I can't say if the plastic will hold up or not. You know that the L7s are very heavy. I'm more worried about the flap of the box flexing under the weight more than the panels. I did want to try a couple 12s, but haven't got around to it. I have a 40 hr job, plus re-modeling new house and building a garage too. I already getting behind on current orders. Heck, I've already turned a couple amp racks down. Think I need help.

*I'm stupid*

How much are you selling the sub for? Also here is a stupid question.. do the subs still sound as good if they are facing down in a stealth like that?

That's a good question to have asked. In my experience and with the experience of one of the other people that has one now, the box is actually LOUDER when the subs are facing down.

I do have to say, I'm really impressed with the way these boxes are looking. Mine was good, but his are looking GREAT!

ah.. I meant box.... then I looked it up on your site and found price... so I should've edited it. Sorry. If I get that box, where would be the best place to put an amp? And how is install on that box... is it hard? or should I just do it professionally if I don't know much about stereos.

Do NOT pay anyone to install this box. It's so easy a two-year old could do it. If you can successfully take your stock flap in and out of your car and hook up speaker wires to wiring terminals, then you can install this box. It's cake.

Amps are pretty easy too as long as you take your time and think thru the process. Lots of good info on that subject if you use the search function.

Is the max airspace on this box still 1.6cuft or has it changed any?

Still 1.6 for now. I might try to change and go bigger though. Might even consider dual 12s if anyone's interested.

I've got an idea for this. I'm still doing a little planning on my end but i'll email you soon and ask about something custom. To see if it's possible.

For now though, what's the max depth? I'm thinking of going with Brahma's and the motor structure is huge.
