Help suggesting a good system.

Hi guys, I don't know hardly anything about car audio, i guess a little tiny bit of knowledge. But I want to start buying some stuff and put a complete system together.

1. My headunit right now isn't holding up to well, I want to get a different one. Originally I was going to get an Mp3 cd player but i wouldn't mind saving up for a cd deck with a LCD screen in it. I remember one of my friends had an older alpine one he got pretty cheap. What are the best deals going around these players? I don't really have to have a DVD included in one, just the screen because I can just put my PS2 and compensate that for a DVD player.

2. I'm probably going to get 2 10s in the dual subthump boxes. Can you guys recommend me some good speakers and an amp? I have no clue when it comes down to this. I listen to all kinds of music so I want something thats pretty good all around. And pretty descent on the price, I don't need the best thing out there just something that can deliver some pretty nice bass.

i know my friend just got a clarion head unit with 7" lcd screen for around 600. i think he got it from thezeb.com. its really nice.

my system consists of 2 10" audiobahns and a 4 channel audiobahn amp thats bridged to 2 channels. its not that loud but it gives nice bass for rap or rock music. so i always have the subs on. the amp was about 175 and the subs were 80 a piece. i know you can find a better price on the subs though.

it all depends what kinda sound you want. loud or just nice clean bass.

I hope to by an LCD unit someday for my Camaro, but up here in Canada they start at about 2 grand eh! all that I have seen anyways, thats to rich for me.

I cant qoute you the model number, but Future Shop had a JVC cd deck on sale for 120 bucks, so I bought it for my winter beater, and man, I got a 800 kenwood unit in my Camaro, and I am thinking I may like the JVC much more

I also ordered the dual 10" milhouse from subthump, currently having some shipping issues, Couldnt have gotten the right address on or something, but otherwise, they offer great service. I plan on getting 2 Alpine type r subs, and a 800 watt alpine amp for it in the spring..if it ever gets here
