I'll try to get some pics if the camera doesn't die during the install. Yea in the cold, least its in a decent garage. But I'm going to rip everything up and run another 4 gauge for the amp and go from there I guess. Wish me luck guys!

UPDATE!! System install has been delayed about 3 weeks due to my car being rushed to the shop. Went to walmart to wait for my friend who's garage we were using. MFer pulls up right next to me while I'm closing my door to leave and clips my door with his bumper. Proceedes to rip the door 45 degrees farther than its supposed to go. Fiberglass littered the ground like someone just got their hair cut. My door is toasted. So unhappy right now I can't believe it. Someone wanna give me a possible quote cause this guy wants to pay out of pocket instead of through his insurance. 10 minutes from installing it all too :(

From the way you describe things, it sounds like the entire door needs replaced. Was the fender damaged at all? The door prob won't cost all that much ("guessing" $150-350 for a good used one at a wrecking yard). Labor and paint will prob be even more, decent body shops aren't cheap. When I had my 94 Firebird, someone ran into my drivers rear fender and put a decent sized dent in it. The best price I could find was $500 to have it pulled, fender completely repainted, which included blending the paint into the bumper and door.

If the person only wants to give you a few hundred bucks, forget it. I'd report it to insurance if I were you, it never seems to work out when you deal one on one with people like that.

Well the guy is a friend of mine and I know he's got money comming and and he knows he owes me. The guy that quoted me the price did it at like 8pm est with a flash light. He owns a body shop so I'll take w/e he says, mans gotta make money too. Yea the door needs to be replaced no buts about it. If he doesn't tow it down to his shop tomorrow I'll see if I can get some pictures of it. No visible fender damage though.

Unless it was one of my GOOD friends that hit me.... I'd report it without hesitation. Better then possibly getting screwed over.

Since you referred to him as a MF'r, the word "friend" never crossed my mind. good luck, hope he settles up with you man.

He's good enough of a friend that the guy he's doing a sidejob for is paying me for his work instead of paying him. Said MFer cause I believe if you were in my position you would say the same. If I get pictures I will repost in a new topic to keep the mods happy. So I guess we can let this sit until the system gets finished. Thanks for the information and help with getting everything I needed for a killer system that sits in a pile next to my couch.
