  • Alarm + Keyless Entry

I'm looking to get an alarm for the Camaro. I used to have one but umm, i fried the remote while surfing and took out the shock sensor while i was working on the car because i couldn't turn off the alarm and it kept going off. The shock sensor ended up getting run over lol. So its been about a year since i've had an alarm, and needless to say i need a new one. It needs to have/be all of the following.

    -Alarm
    -Keyless Entry
    -Inexpensive
    -Reliable

Also, this is a car that did not come with factory keyless entry. I've been looking around on ebay and i've found some pretty good deals (or so i think), but i'm not sure if these things are universal or make specific.

Would something like this work? Or is it total crap. If you have anything you'd recommend, go for it.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Any aftermarket alarm like the one you posted is universal. The only alarms I can think of that are make specific would be a factory alarm.

If all you want is something inexpensive, That Crimestopper would be okay. Make sure to pick up a couple relays for your power locks and hatch release functions. For a little more money, here's another inexpensive alarm made by Prestige with built in relays for the locks and hatch release to check out.

dude if your gonna get an alarm, please get it professionaly installed. I have attempted to install it myself, and it is a pain in the a$$. Big time. Its well worth the 150 bux to get it installed. I spent ateast 5 hrs trying to get the lights and the trunk to work.
      Just my .02 cents,
