I have 2 '12 sony xplodes. RMS is 300 and the watts is 1100 a piece. what kind of amp should I get? what will work?

watts is 1100, I guess you mean max power. What ohm(s) are they? What type of music do you listen to? What kind of box are you using? All of these and probaly more need to be answered first.

To answer your question the way you asked it would be, What kind of amp should I get: One that puts out power to the speakers and What will work: Anything that produces power.

Are they the single voice coil 4-Ohm version? "If" they are, parallel them for a 2-ohm load. Here's a couple amps at random to check out.


Autotek (Two channel 2-Ohm stable bridged)

yea 1100 is max power, i want a good amount of base i already installed sony x plode speakers in the back, now i just need to get an amp. thanx

I have 2 12" xplodes too. You should buy my amp. It's a mtx thunder 425od. Had it for 3 1/2 years and its great. Well, whatever you go with just watch your ohms.
