The speakers sizes are oversized 6.5's. I just put regular 6.5's in the front doors and they fit fine, but I hear you will either have a buy or make a custom braket to fit them into the rears.
Component speakers is a combination of a 6.5 mid, a tweeter and a crossover which sends the signals to the 2 speakers.

eZD is correct for the most part.... I just wanna go in to more detail. :D
The stock speaker size is actually 6.75" (oversized 6.5") Some companies sell 6.75" speakers. They will fit perfectly. Even SOME companies 6.5" speakers will fit fine. However, some 6.5" will not. I think it just depends on where the screw holes are on the mounting bracket..... if in doubt or the speakers you buy do not fit, you can buy adapter brackets from crutchfield for $12/pair. They are item # 142SAC656.
Component speakers are actually a set of speakers. The set comes with 2 woofers (mids), 2 tweeters and 2 crossovers. You simply run power to the crossover, then connect the tweet and woofer to that. The crossover will block those low frequencies from the tweet and filter the highes from getting to the woofer. So each speaker will play in it's designed frequency range. You can pick up a set for as little as $100, but I would recommend spending ATLEAST $175. If you have money to spend, there are a ton of outstanding sets in the $350 range. For anything better then that..... be prepared to spend big bucks.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
