Problem with stock speakers

I just recently got a 1999 red Camaro with the Monsoon sound system. However, the sail panel subwoofers don't work.

Today, I was driving along, and all of a sudden I noticed my music sounded different. The right subwoofer had inexplicably started working. However, later today, it stopped again. I have no idea what could be causing this, the speakers themselves look perfectly fine (and at the very least the right one sounds great, too)

It's still under warranty and I can get them fixed no problem. However, I'd still like to know what it is that's making them do that and fix it myself, if possible. Any ideas?

sounds like you might have the wire that goes to the speaker broken. Not the actual one with the clip that plugs the wiring into the speaker, but the actual wire on the speaker (you know what i'm talking aobut if you've taken out the speaker and see it on the top of the speaker in the middle area).
