• Alpine deck wont fit? I don't believe it

Alright, I was looking through Crutchfield online today, cuz I'm looking into buying the Alpine CDA-7897 (not from crutchfield) and it says that the deck wont fit my car! I don't believe it cuz I know of other fourth gen f-bods who have them, so I know they fit but is there anything I'd have to do to my car to make it fit?

I don't believe it either. Don't listen to that website. Ask someone who has that Alpine deck. I have the 7893 I believe and it didn't just slide in either. There is a little metal clipp in the back that I had to rip out to get the deck to slide in correctly. Chances are it fits but be 100% first. Goodluck.

I figured it would be something stupid like that- you can fit almost anything in that console if you put your mind to it

I think the reason Crutchfield's site says that headunit won't fit is because the f-bodies have a 1.5 din opening in the dash and that is a 1 din headunit. What their site should say is "Will fit with slight modification". All you will need is your run of the mill dash kit. They are only about $15 from any audio installer. Good choice on headunits' by the way.
