The remote start itself can be a major pain. I did the one in my truck and If I were to do it again, I would gladly give 150 bucks for the install. Not saying I couldn't do it, but it took a day and a half and all that soldering and working in cramped spaces--yuck. Plus you need to make sure you got all the right modules and stuff. My .02
It really helps to have some basic electrical knowledge. But other than that, it isn’t to hard. But I have never installed a remote starter. That could get tricky.
