Ok, on a 1997 Camaro, as with most Chevys, the dark brown wire at the light switch or in the drivers kick panel is the + light trigger. This can be tested by finding the wire, probe it with a test light or multimeter and flip on the parking lights. If that wire shows 12V when the switch is on, thats the wire you want. To make the lights flash, supply this wire with a + pulse.
Take your test light or multimeter and find out if your alarm is sending a + or - trigger out of the light flash wire. If its +, hook it up and you should be good. If its - see if you can program the alarm brain to reverse the polarity (sometimes its a jumper on the side or inside of the brain - consult your installation manual). If you can't change the polarity at the brain, use a relay to switch polarity.
BTW, what kind of alarm? I put alarms and remote starts in all day long, shoot me any questions.

OK ITS A VIPER ALARM NOT SURE OF THE MODEL IT LOOKS KINDA OLD WHIT A 2 BUTTON REMOTE I KNOW THE WHITE WIRE FROM THE BRAIN IS THE POSITIVE. SO THIS BROWN WIRE IT IS CONNECTED TO RIGHT NOW IS WRONG ? ITS DARK BROWN THE BOTTOM ONE CONNECTED TO THE DIMMER SWITCH NOT THE LIGHT SWITCH. ALSO WHEN I UNLOCK AND LOCK THE DOORS YOU HEAR LICK CLICK CLICK LIGHT THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASHED BUT THEY DIDNT. DO I NEED MAYBE A NEW FLASHER OR SOMETHING ?

That "click click click" sound you're hearing are the relays (probably the relays for the locks and or also the relay for the parking lights).

Like TopHatJimmy said, use a test light to see if the Brown wire you are talking about is indeed the parking light wire. It more than likely is since you say its located near the dimmer switch which is located next to the headlight switch...but never assume wires when installing an alarm, double check to make sure. You may also want to double check the parking light output wire on your alarm (the white wire you said) to see if its giving out a Positive pulse when the alarm is turned on and off.
