Alarm Problem (need help quick before it pisses off neighbors!)
Alarm Problem (need help quick before it pisses off neighbors!)
I still have my stock alarm, but it's acting funny. Starting last night, it's randomly going off during the middle of the night! Sometimes it only honks a few times and goes off, sometimes it goes off till I turn it off w/ the keys. Anyone know what I should check or do to fix it? And if not, how can I disable the alarm till I can get it looked at?

check the sensitivety level of the shock sensor. It's in the trunk behind the panel by the spare tire and jack. You might just have to turn it down some.

It's not the shock sensor... I can sit there and run into the car, push it, etc and it won't go off. It just 100% randomly goes off, for NO reason.
The only other thing I can think of is the weather playing a factor. You said it happens at night in which it get's a little cooler at night, maybe a little moisture in the air, humidity. My old camaro had a problem with the neutral safty switch. The car wouldn't start/crank, nothing in the morning, however it would fire right up later on when the sun came out around 11am or so in the summer. Good luck
