anybody have one or ever heard one? I have tried to get all of the specs but i can't find them. I found a awesome deal on this sub so help me please.

I heard one of them in the back of a GTP in a 1inch thick plexigalss box with a JBL800.1 and it knocks the wind out of me when I sat in the back seat!

o, 290s not great, but a decent price. The specs are all on JBLs website, and are u buying them new or used? CAuse new u can get them for a tad over 300 in the right place, + u get all the warrenty and spec sheats ( which would tell u and show u box sizes and design.)

online but I am torn between 2 12'' L7's or the GTI.

GTI- the L7z are nice but to me they are just slopyy compared to the gti. Ive got a buddy with a 99 Trans am, Custom Box in the hatch 2 12 L7 and like a kicker amp for each running just about perfect wattage RMS and max. And it just doesnt sound right. It sounds loud but not right. U know like thoughs systems that u hear while driving down the road then u get close to it and ur like... what a dork. Ive just always had good experience with JBL subs. And the GTI really does do a great job of showing Y JBL is a good company. Part of the problem with the 2 L7s is that you really need a lot of space for the both of them. And 2 of them barely = 1 GTI =) Thats just my input.

o- Edit : Dont get me wrong I love kicker, I think the comp vr 12s ( the round ones ) are some damn good subs. I dont know much that out drives 2 of them. But to me the solobarric just isnt as great as it should be- for the price. The comps are like just under 200 for 2.( for the new line ) and u can get last years model for almost 100 for 2. Great subs. They hit very nicely. But again not a real fan of the solobarrics quality.

ya I am really liking the jbl plus i will be running their amps and kicker componets. Due to the dual 6 ohm coils i can only get 3 ohms so, the jbl 1200.1 will be put about 900 watts to it instead of the full 1200 that would be going to the L7's. Keep this in mind with your comments here that I am going for spl with the sub(s) not sq.

The JBL p1200 is a 2400 watt amp I thought. 1200 watt RMS - Its hard to get the stats for these so it does get confusing-... yeah I just checked they are 2400 watt max. If u already knew this sorry. just figured Id say something.
