    most batteries i have seen on camaros, even the yellow top optima ones dont have battery terminal posts that i could use this with:

    do you guys know of a battery that has the post on top so that i could use this connector? its a rockford fosgate one for 0/1 gauge.. thanks

    my optima had those on the top, along with gm side terminals
    White 1998 3.8L Camaro

      Mine optima has both as well. Are you aure you're looking at the correct battery?

        both mine, and my friends camaro doesnt have the posts on top. id have to buy a new battery. *shrug*

          gm only started using top post terminals recently, I guess after years of replacing batteries and battery trays made em smarten up a bit. optimas have side post and the standard top post. or if you want they sell connectors for side post batteries. www.knukonceptz.com has em, check it out.

            I have an optima so, I have both also but, if you go to your parts store, they sell thing bolt that replaces the stock one and gives you a threaded part with a nut on the other side. Its normaly called a side post adapter.

                  dmw319, yes, those side post adapters are great... however they will not allow you to use the terminal in your pic. :(

                    Here is an adaptor which converts the GM side terminals to a "post" terminal. This will allow you to use the Rockford terminal pictured. Walmart also sells the adaptor in a cheap non-gold version.
