When downloading into MP3 format, I have to change some of the names from "unknown" to the title so it does not replace them. Without changing them it thinks that they are the same data and replaces them, not problem. The problem is that it may say that all tracks have been recorded okay, but the ones that were renamed aren't on the disc, anyone else had this problem?

Fa sho, I read it again and I was like WTF??? Okay in a more user friendly version...I have a million songs and albulms on my PC, they are all of course in a MP3 format. Okay, some of the songs are listed as "unknown" example: Jay-Z's blueprint II is not listed as "blueprint track 1" it says "unknown track 1....2....3..etc". When you place one "unkown track 1 in the section for recording it's no problem, the problem lies when you attempt to take another "unkown" from another album which is a completely different artist, song, and MP3 file. Because the file has the same name it thinks they are the same and asks do you want to replace the file because it is already on your recording list, to keep you from having the same song on your list twice. I thought that I could "back-door" the whole thing by renaming the tracks to what they really are, sounded like a good idea. What happens is the songs will go through fine, get recorded (so I thought) but aren't found on the disc. I copied 157 on the disc and it showed that 157 were recorded successfully, but there are only 77 songs found while playing the disc, all 77 were songs that I did not have to rename, they already had one before downloading. Sorry about the long reply pimp, but you said elaborate ;)

edit: What problems were you having? Just in case mine are different from yours I can look out for it. Holla!

hmm, try closing your CD burning program, renaming all the tracks to what they really are, then start your program again, and add the songs to the CD.

Your program probably uses some kind of file list of what supposed to be burnt on the CD. If you add the file to the list, then change the name of it won't be able to find that file. Hope I explained that well enough.

Nice thought, it makes sense. What you are saying is that because I changed the name of the file, it could not find it? I feel that cousin'. Makes sense and I was going to rename everything anyway because it makes the whole process easier, plus whatever you name the song, the deck names it as well. Makes perfect logic to me man, thanks I'll try that and let you know what comes about with it.

Where did you get it from? What was the ticket on it? Are all of your tracks named? No unknowns?

You asking where I got Nero? I got it from somewhere I dont know.. I bet if there were file sharing programs out there, you could probably get it off that ;)

As far as having my tracks named. I am real meticulous as to having my tracks named, so they are all named Artist - Title.mp3 I have all the ID3 tags named too. Thats how my player reads the title, through the ID3

Yea, I just got that way man, I am in the process of renaming them all to make life and downloading a bit easier.

edit: what PC do you have?
