No. The BX1500 doesn't pull 130 amps by itself. And especially at a 2.6 ohm load. And we're still talking MAX! These are ratings that he'll never see for daily driving and probably never during SPL testing. At the needed length for the f-body, 4g is good to about 115amps. Throw a 100 amp fuse on it, sell your other kit or give it to a needy friend and call it a day.

Oh and Alt, what are the specs on the Kenwood? What are you powering with it?

its a 1200w x 5, powering my sub, 2 stock rears and 2 infinity kappa components. I don't know the amp draw. KACPS650D is the model. I'll see if I can find an est. amp draw for it

Yeah. I did a quick look through Kenwood's site and google. Didn't come up with much. Just by looking at the model number, made me think it's a 650W mono amp. Just wondering what you would be needing that for if you have the BX1500. So it's a 5-channel huh? Well now I'm actually putting money on the 100 amp fuse being enough. I bet your 5-channel amp doesn't output more then say 65-75WRMSx4@4ohms? It won't be pulling more then 15 amps under normal operation.

its a 3/4/5 channel running at 5 currently. taking the sub off and running it at 4 after i get the 1500 in. I couldn't tell you what the kenwood is putting out per channel rms. I'll look for a link for the amp.

There is my amp says its max current draw is 53A

          EDIT: this is my amp

Apparently what I had written down was different, the above might be the same but I wasn't sure so I went to kenwoods site and found it.

53amps MAX. And that's all at 2 ohms INCLUDING the 5th channel sub output. Exactly as I said, just using the 4 lower powered channels @ 4ohms, you won't see more then 15 amps at most pulled by this amplifier.
