Hmm.....how good are JL Audio subs?

Yeah, I'm really not into tune with the car-audio scene AT ALL......

Are JL Audio subs any good? The reason I ask is because I just removed the screen off my stealth box to see what is inside, and BAM! A JL Audio 10"

i have always been impressed with JL

theyre decent quality, not for the $ though, for what a W7 costs you could get a digital designs 12 (ddaudio.com) and an enclosure

I have a JL Audio 10" W3 series being pushed by a Kenwood 100 Watt amp....I can shake the windows of my house from where my driveway sits. which is about 25 feet away....If you have one, keep it! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Find out what kind of JL it is, (prolly have to remove it from the box) to find out if it's a w0, if it's a w0 it's not all that, w3's are nice, w6's are better.
If it doesnt have the JL white insignia on a bubble poping out from it, it's probably smooth and that would be a w6v2 or a w7

It's a W3. Not the best, but hey, it sounds pretty good for my usage!

I'm a rock dude, so I don't need it to shake any windows or what not. But believe me, I have tried, and it will shake windows [img]graemlins/fluffy.gif[/img] even with only a 100 watt RMS Fostage amp that came with the car. It's just cool to fill out my sound :D

Considering its a Stealth box ( made by JL ) I wouldnt be surprised to se a JL in it =/ =) thats cool uve got one, Im looking into getting some 12 W6V2s

with 1 w3 I have doubts of you really shaking any windows, unless they are loose. I have 2 12's and a custom deep ported box and i'm pretty sure i'll rattle some here and there, but it's not that easy.

The only JL's I like are the W6s... all the rest are ho-hum.

JL is the only thing I've run for the last 10 years. Nothing sounds like them or perform for me the way I want. Those combined with PPI power... is really an unstoppable sound.

digital designs out performs JL for the same, if not cheaper price...and i also really doubt of any windows being shaken with 100watts RMS to a w3

2 12" JL .. and ive been threw a few sets of other brands.. JL is by far the best sounding and thats all i will ever own...

I don't mean to argue, but yeah, I am able to shake windows if I want (if I'm in my driveway).

But like I said, that's not what matters, since I'm a rock dude.
