Hmm.....how good are JL Audio subs?

all of you are talking like you've never seen a decent non-entry level sub, i guess if i was comparing JL to RF Hx2's, MTX8000's and pioneer premeire's..theyd be a good sub for the $, but with RE, Adire, Digital Designs, etc. out there, theyre nothing but another entry level company

O I especially have heard of other subs. I have in the past used low level JBL subs, I currently have a 12 inch sony Xplod sub and have worked with DD MTX Xtant and kicker. of all, so far I like the Sony Xplod for the money. I have it firing down into the Trunk ( hanging from the top of the trunk) And it sounds better than almost everyones system I know. Ive heard many subs, Many are good. The JBLS are great subs I almost ordered some GTIs or just one 12. but at 270 bucks + the shipping- Id go with the JL w6v2 at the same price. They are well made subs. and we are happy with their performance. Others are bad others are worse. but y not just get a good sub at a price and be happy with it.

And most people have heard ****ty subs and bad setups which is why they are so godd. but who cares what u are compaing it to- we have some of teh greatests cars for stereo. if we can out bump it who cars what it costs or what else is out there =)

sony, mtx, xtant and kicker are relatively entry level...i said non-entry level

I've always appreciated JL Audio! My friend had 4four 10W4's in a Regal, and they were so awesome! I think JL makes great subs, but I wouldn't trade my Massive Audio subs for anything!

Speaking of Kicker being entry level... anyone else here think that Kicker's products lately isn't what it used to be? I don't really care for their new amps. The L7's are cool.
