amp blowing fuses

my amp has gone through 2 pairs of fuses now lately... it has 2 20 amp fuses on the amp.. i cant figure out why its doin it.. i relized tonite that it was on hpf instead of lpf so i switched it over to lpf and turned it up a good bit and the song was over and on the next song there was no sound coming from the subs... i got home and changed the fuses to see if that was it and it started playin again after that... any ideas? thanks

are you sure your not running the amp to hard at to low of a ohm? because it could be come unstable and blow fuses, i had an amp that did it once because the way the sub was setup for 2ohm and the amp was only for 4ohm went through fuses right and left.So i got rid of it lol

i dont know... my subs are dvc 4 ohm and my amp is 4 ohm

how do you have your subs wired to the amp?

i dont remember to tell the truth.. i dont think they are parallel...that would put them at 1 ohm i guess? and series/parrellel i dont remember what that would make them but i think thats how they are..

well if your amp is only stabl at 4 ohm and your goin down to 1 ohm i believe it would blow fuses like that correct ? get a 1 ohm stable amp and u'll be fine

Yes, Series/Parallel is how they should be wired.
