I finally finished it, after like a month (Iowa=crappy weather=not good to build things).
I'm glad i did though, it was a lot cheaper to do it this way than to pay 300 bucks for one. Overall it probably cost about 35 bucks. 20 for the carpet from crutchfield (only used about half of it though), 10 for the spray on glue to put the carpet on, and 5 bucks for the terminal.
The wood, caulk, and wood glue i already had.
If anyone is thinking about putting subs in i would recommend building the box yourself, as long as you have a table saw, jigsaw/rotozip, clamps, and decent wood working skills. The box will probably fit tighter and will save you a lot of money.
the subs came with a piece of cardboard that showed how big the hole was suppose to be. so i put that on the box, put on that circle rotozip tool, measured it up, and just cut them out that way. It's alot easier with a rotozip than it would be with a jig saw.
at the time crutchfield didn't have any matching carpet colors so i just went with the generic one (didn't feel like going anywhere else to just buy carpet).
Yeah i have T-Tops... I don't know how the subthump one is made but i cut off as much as i could, and only have room for 1 t-top in the slit... i guess the other t-top will have to go in the back seat.

i got t tops and my box takes up the WHOLE trunk.... 2 18"s..... i just put the t tops in the back seat or if i need to put sum1 in it.. .leave them at the housenda... im not worried about sum1 stealin my subs..... the screws in the speakers are all keyed so u have to have a special bit to get them out... and the whole box with speakers weighs about 150-200 pounds... soo.... they can try but they wont get away with it

youngcamarokid is right though, there is nothing he could sue me for (that would be really sad if he wanted to, though).

I won't as long as you don't produce any and sell them. You must have stared at my website for quite awhile? And I bet it was pretty tricky getting the subs in there and still have that space up front huh? I noticed you said both tops wont fit. Kinda defeats the purpose of the box if you can only store one top Lol. Was that your first try? Pretty decent work except for that ****ty looking carpet that doesn't match anything.
Megabass, i was only at your site long enough to notice 2 things:
1. Your t-top box also only fits 1 t-top (http://www.subthump.com/images/subth.../ttopbox01.jpg)
2. Your cart images bare a striking resemblance to the copyrighted cart images crutchfield.com uses
Seriously though, i bought a book a while ago on how to build sub boxes and i basically had the box design set. Then when i came across your site i saw the t-top box and i thought it looked like a good idea, so i just notched out the faceplate a bit so i could put the tops there.
Since about every post here said my carpet is ****, i'll be replacing that with GM carpet soon.
Should i go to a dealership for that? or hope gmpartsdirect.com works right?
suing this guy makes u no different from the RIAA... jesus get off his back i know megabass does outstanding work but he isn't the first to make sub boxes... is the guy who first started to make them going to sue him... come on guys he's an amature... we all know he isn't going to sell it lay off.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
