• 15 L7 and Rockford Fosgate 800 a2

Not too long ago i heard about my friends friend selling a 15 L7 with a Rockford Fosgate 800 a2 amp. Both for 300. Ive never heard of anyone selling a L7 and amp for that cheap except maybe ebay... I jumped on it and bought it...Before i bought it i heard it hit in my friends type R. The box it was in was huge to fit the trunk of integra...

I got my uncle to trim the box down to fit on the flat area behind back seat directly under glass. The box was caulked but i need to redo the corners. Air is coming out of corners...

Anyways the sub will make you go deaf when its continious bass. But like "this is how we do" by the game when the bass hits it isnt that loud.. Is this the air leak in the box causing this or is it just the way the sub is..

I have the punch 800a2 bridged. Its all the way up and im guessing its pushing 800 rms. Let me know your opinions on how to make it hit harder on single bumps.

Hmmm i dont know weather or now that sub is 2 ohm DVC or 4 ohm DVC most likely its a 4 ohm and you have it wired at 2 ohms.

Fosgate amps arent made to be bridged and ran at a 2 ohm load.

Take out the sub and use some silicone and seal it all up, and let it dry over night,.

I'm just going to assume the subwoofer is wired to the amp correctly. It's playing fine, so what can you say. Next, what are you using for a headunit? If you're using anything other then stock, the gain should not be cranked to max. A gain knob is used to match the input voltage sensitivity to the voltage output of your headunit. The L7 isn't known for it's SQ, but a poorly built box will only make matters worse. And just how big is the box you have it in now? (after subwoofer displacement)

I have an alpine head unit. CDA9807.The box takes up the whole flat part behind back seat and is 9 inches tall. Im guessing at least 2.5 cu ft of air. I let the guys at circuit city install eveything. So im not sure about the gain but i will look.

You better turn that gain down if its all the way up. I can't wait to get my L5 back.
