• Matching subs and amp question

(All wat ratings in RMS unless otherwise stated)So right now i have a question. I used to have only one sub in my car, so i used a amp that put out 350x1, but now i have 2 subs and it is putting out 125x2 which is a joke considering that one of my subs is a kicker and the other one is a Alpine type S. So my neighbor is going to sell me his vib amp that puts out 250x2 for really cheap so that i can get alot more of the potentail out of my system and i am going to make it so that my subs match. So here is where the question comes in.
The alpine runs 300 wats and the kicker runs 400 wats...which sub should i match to? If i am going to be only running an amp that is pushing 250 wats is there a benift to running dual kickers, or is it much smarter to just be running the dual alpines? Cause it seems to me if the potential is there and i am not using it, it is just a waist...i am into sound and i am willing to throw down a little extra money for the kicker if it will make the system sound better, but if it won't really make a difference, i will just go with the alpines.

Confusing question, are you getting another sub to match the other like running 2 kickers or 2 alpines? What model is the kicker sub?

Tim my two 12s get 100 watts a piece and they have an RMS rating of 200 I think - and you heard my stereo It is decent.
I would get another kicker... much better speaker in my opinion than alpine.

what are the models? You can't jump out and say kicker is better than alpine. I love kicker stuff and no real big on alpine myself but if you asked me what I would take between a Kicker Comp 12'' woofer Vs. say the 12'' Type X what do you think I am going to pick?
