Sub facing ?

How come some people put there sub facing backwards in there box?

Main reason is just to show off the subwoofer's basket and magnet. Cool if it's chrome or in some cases, just plain massive.

A real advantage is that you would have an increase in air space for the subwoofer. Because you don't have to factor in the displacement of the subwoofer itself into the box measurements.

Other then that, there is no difference. Thinking of doing something like this?

I bought the my L7 brand new but its in lay away right now. But yes I thick the L7 would look good if I put the basket facing up. But I think I am going to go with the cone facing up.

You bought one of the new chrome looking ones? I would fire it into the box just for the different look as long as it will clear the hatch.
