Thanks Nick, I checked out the Ebay link and its different than I thought. On my car, there's just a hole that is really not any standard size, (i.e. 6x9 etc.) just the hole and the grill on both driver and passenger side rear panel... 10-4 on the butch and hack artist. He must have removed some kind of backing mount panel that the two individual speakers would normally mount into. This is looking more like what "camarowidbass" said...just ain't worth the tears. Have a great day, guys.

i blew one of the tweeters back there so replaced both the midranges with an inifini kappa 42.5i. its the same size as the stock midrange. the 42.5i is a multi-element with an external crossover so you could driver the tweeter from the old tweeter connection (through the crossover to block any lows) and the midrange portion through the midrange output from the monsoon (directly not through the crossover). personally, i just connected the crossover to the monsoon. it doesnt seem to be filtering the highs to the midranges.
it cost about $70 for the 42.5i. the rear fill might not be necessary but its nice.
