I just got another set of pioneers for my car and i was wondering does it matter how you connect the wires like - to - or + to +? cuz when i did my fronts i didnt know which was the + or - so i just hooked it up and they worked. could it hurt the speakers if they were backwards?

From what I've "heard" around, it doesn't necessarily hurt the speakers, I've just heard people say it's not good on them. You're old speakers should be marked + or - on them somewhere....or one of the two wires will be marked with something extra on one wire. For instance, my + wire has a black strip along it. Or look in your owners manual, but the speakers should be marked, especially if it's stock.

it won't hurt the speakers, but they will be out of phase, and sounds crappy.

A resistor is a resistor is a resistor. Your amp couldn't care less which way it's facing. But slow is right, if they don't all match, then they'll be out of phase.

typical gm wiring is... i believe

            front left + = tan
            front left - = grey
front right + = dark green
front right - = light green
            rear left + = brown
            rear left - = yellow
rear right + = dark blue
rear right - = light blue

i could be wrong... be sure to test them with a DMM or 1.5 volt battery
