• I have a few questions about installing a monitor.

I am wanting to install a monitor in my 96 Camaro. It will be in the same location as these 2:

I have been browsing e-Bay and to be honest, I am pretty lost. There are alot of monitors on there. I would like a descent priced fair quality monitor that I can hook a PS2 up to. Can any of you make some suggestions on where/what kind to buy.

I hope to run the sound through my current audio system.
Any light on that would be welcomed also. I am thinking my HU has Audio Inputs but I cant remember for the life of me, I will have to check on that. If it doesnt. What are some other methods for getting the sound from the PS2 to come out my HU?

I bought a real cheap 5.6" LCD off Ebay a while back. It was a Pyle I think..... don't laugh I paid like $80 I think. The picture seemed real clear and it didn't give me any problems during the time I was using it. That 960x234 resolution seems to be about the norm. One thing to note, watch the type of input the screen requires. Get the RCA type vice that damn pigtail type. If your head unit has an AUX input then you should have no problems. If it doesn't, then I think an FM modulator is the only other way to play it through your system.

in my opinion i think thats a bad place for a screen. The reason i say this is BC a screen looks its best when you look at it head on.

But thats my opinion. For the sound you will need FM modulator.

Go either with a 5'' or a 5.6'' and stay away from the non brand screens. Expect to pay 100-150 for a decent screen.

Wiring is simple, just ground and power and the connect the RCA to the yellow RCa from the PS2.

Your gonna need a good sized power converter for the PS.....im running a 350. Dont get anyything to small as it might burn up the PS. Im thinking 250 watts should do it for the PS2.
My car has GPS trackin\',traffic alert, its own phone #,PS2,screens. And What da H3ll,When I Turn da key it says \"You\'ve got mail\"..... <br />I swear and promise.. I\'ve had more cars then Charlie Thomas.. bounces in a Monte\' that hopped.. Pimped old skoo Blazer on Chopz, Today Its a Camaro at all da plya spots.

Like I said. I bought a Pyle 5.6" LCD and the clarity seemed plenty fine to me. And you ARE NOT going to find a name brand 5.6" screen for $100-$150 new.

in reffering to non brand name, i was reffering to brands that you never even heard of or cant even pronounce.

I had a Cheap Arse Pyle Screen in my Jimmy therefore I have everything I need (PS2, Power Inverter, and wiring) All I need is a Monitor for my Camaro. Thanks for the offer though.

Thank you all for the input, it is greatly appreciated.
