Phony HU for detachable faces?

Has anyone made a fake faceplate to look like the stock HU or an equally not-theft-worthy HU to put on when you take off your aftermarket detachable?

nah homie you make them, go get a junk radio and carefully take it apart but make sure that the front stays in tact.

Once that is dont put some velcro on the dummy face plate and some velcro to where its going.

Just wondering if it had been done, if there were any lessons learned.

sony made a cover that goes over there deck with the color lcd that made it look like a change holder.

Thats pretty cool unless they hear you pull up, then they look in the car and don't see a radio. Then they are going to know you got something worth hiding and definitely break in.
